In 1994 Willie Simpson started up his own practice with only himself and a secretary. He soon realized that his passion lies in claiming compensation for people that sustained injuries in a situation where somebody can be held liable in causing the injuries. Despite the fact that they obtained substantial financial compensation for clients over the years they also went the extra mile. This lead to SIMPSONS taking on the ROAD ACCIDENT FUND in a ground breaking matter claiming for emotional shock suffered by a claimant who was NOT a blood relative of the injured. In the Saul’s matter the Supreme Court of Appeal in a unanimous judgment by 5 judges extended the law, as it was then, to include claims of this nature. From there their (slogan) “We don’t follow the law, we make law”. This will be forever their mission to do whatever it takes to act in the best interests of their clients.
From meagre beginnings SIMPSONS has gone from strength to strength and is now a company with 3 directors complimented by a Chartered Accountant in charge of the financial department and a Human Resources Officer in charge of their staff. Their staff compliment has also grown to about 40 full time employees.
As they belief in specialising in specific areas of law they also extended their services to include debt collecting with a fully functioning call centre as well as a legal department to take the necessary legal steps should debtors not co-operate with the call centre. This department is developing rapidly and with recent key appointments expects this department to continue in the same fashion that has made Simpsons Attorneys Inc well known and to contribute further to the success of Simpsons.
