Motorcycle accidents on South African roads have become an unfortunate common occurrence and more so than not, the consequences of these accidents result in severe injuries or fatalities. Should the victims have minor children and/or a partner, an investigation into a possible loss of support claim should be launched. As parents have a duty to support their minor children, the loss of the parent(s) creates an obligation on the Road Accident to step into the shoes of the wrongdoer and as such, compensate the claimant.
